UKAPMP Issues Call For Papers
Wednesday, April 2, 2008
The UKAPMP Annual Conference Call For Papers is under way.

Beyond best practice – challenging the status quo

The UK Association of Proposal Management Professionals (UKAPMP) Annual Conference is your opportunity to contribute towards advancing the
profession beyond current best practice. In line with the conference theme, come and present and share the methods, techniques, tools, experiences
and insights that you and your organisation have developed and are taking advantage of to win and retain business.

Delegates from ten European countries attended last year’s conference and this year’s event promises to be the biggest and best ever at the stunning
Radisson Hotel, Stansted. The conference is a fantastic networking opportunity and arena to showcase the latest and best practice to your peers who
are similarly committed to winning business in ever challenging environments.

If you are an APMP member accredited to Foundation, Practitioner or Professional level, you will earn 20 Continuing Education Units towards
maintaining your accreditation status by attending and presenting at the Annual Conference.

Call For Papers

You are hereby invited to submit an outline for one of the following activities to be considered for running during the conference:
  • Presentations should be planned to last for 35 minutes with 10 minutes scheduled for question and answer at its conclusion. The use of relevant case studies is actively encouraged within the presentations.
  • Workshops shall be a highly interactive session for the delegates lasting 90 minutes. The workshop format must involve the delegates actively carrying out an exercise(s) within the structure of the session.
  • Debate/Discussion Panel - For an alternative and unusual session, a debate around a particular bid/proposal subject could be scheduled. This could take the format of pre-planned speakers for and against a motion. Alternately, it could take the format of a more impromptu format with delegate/audience participation.
Submission Requirements

There are a limited number of slots in the conference schedule for presentations, workshops and debates. To support your submission to present at
the Conference we would ask for the following two items in a single word document:

1. A summary description and title of the proposed session – up to a maximum of 200 words.
2. A short ‘bio’ of the presenter(s) - providing brief details of your experience in the bidding and proposal industry – maximum of 100 words.

Please email your submission to apmp@prosolutions.co.uk by close of business on Friday 30th May 2008.

The Call for Papers is a competitive process and as such the UKAPMP Conference Committee will review all applications and will confirm if you have been successful by 1 July. Draft presentations / workshop overviews will be required for proofing by 29 August and final versions for the Conference CD by 19 September 2008.
