Work with Industry to determine how to enhance the quality of guidance on RFP responses

Increase awareness of technology available to streamline the acquisition process, both for RFP development, proposal submission, and proposal evaluation

Gain Industry’s perspective of acquisition initiatives to determine how to better streamline the acquisition process overall

Access updated information on acquisition trends relevant to the membership while providing trends in Industry bid/proposal practices to the Government representatives and Acquisition organizations

Leverage the BD-CMM knowledge base in APMP to provide links to resources that can help Industry mature their business development and capture management processes and better compete (especially helpful for small businesses)

Provide open communication channels between APMP, APMP Government Liaisons/ membership, and the Services/Agencies.

Share lessons learned to identify and implement improvements to the Government acquisition process and to Industry’s proposal/bid process

Receive training in Industry’s business development process in response to the Government’s acquisition process to gain a better understanding of each other’s processes and roles

Partner with the APMP (Government) Task Force to address emerging business development- and capture management- related issues

Participate in the Annual APMP Conference to share customer perspectives and receive Industry perspectives
