An APMP-Practitioner™ has the necessary experience to produce winning bids and proposals and is able to demonstrate their commitment to both the profession and to improving their skills in this area through continuous professional development.
This level of accreditation is only open to APMP members who have achieved APMP-Foundation™ Level status.
Assessment Process
There are two parts to accreditation at APMP-Practitioner™ level:
- You must provide the name of a reference person to the APMP (such as your line manager, a peer or a commissioning client) who is prepared to confirm that you have worked for at least three years in a bids and proposals environment. The APMP Assessor will contact your nominated reference to discuss a sample of your responses. The telephone conversation will be at a time convenient to your reference, and will last no more than 10–15 minutes.
- You must provide the APMP with a completed Proposal Practitioner Assessment Questionnaire™ (PPAQ™) providing evidence to substantiate your application at this level. This PPAQ™ must be completed and submitted online.
Preparing for the Self Assessment Questionnaire
The questionnaire is designed to be completed in approximately four hours. However, you may take as long as you need to complete the questionnaire and provide objective evidence. You may enter and resume the questionnaire as many times as you wish until you submit it for assessment.
The self-assessment questionnaire contains 36 questions. To prepare yourself and the evidence you will need to complete the online assessment, please download the Microsoft® Word version of the PPAQ™ and use this document as your offline tool for recording your notes, etc. You will be able to cut and paste your answers from this document into the online PPAQ™ when you are ready to complete it.
To understand the level of evidence you are required to show for each competency, please download the PPAQ™ Standards and Guidelines.
