Advantages of Joining

For 16 years, proposal management professionals in the USA have enjoyed the advantages of membership of a recognised professional body, the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP®). Members receive a range of benefits, including:

• Conferences aimed at updating skills, exchanging best practice, networking and learning about the latest tools and methodologies being used in industry
• Regular local meetings and conferences, with industry-leading guest speakers and opportunity to meet other proposal management professionals
• Magazines and publications discussing proposal management best practice.

APMP Launches in the UK

During early 2001, the UKAPMP™ was established as the first international branch of APMP. This chapter was established to provide proposal management professionals in the UK local networking and development opportunities. David Winton, APMP’s Executive Director, welcomed the creation of the new branch:

The UKAPMP™ has the following mission:

“UKAPMP™ seeks to advance the arts, sciences and technology of proposal management in the United Kingdom and promote the professionalism of those engaged in those pursuits through the sharing of non-proprietary proposal methods, approaches and processes.”

Events

Events are open to UKAPMP™ members living or working in Europe. We also welcome as guests, any proposal or business development professionals considering joining the association. Please contact us for details of upcoming events and to register your attendance.

Professional Certification

APMP® has developed a professional certification programme for proposal management professionals and is seeking pilot projects with companies interested in certification.

How to Join

Membership of UKAPMP™ costs $125.00 USD (approximately £65) per year and includes membership to the UK Chapter. UK members will enjoy:

• Free attendance at all UKAPMP™ speaker events
• Preferential rates for UKAPMP™ and APMP® conferences.
