Foundation Prep Class and Exam


APMP Foundation Certification is the first step to demonstrating knowledge and understanding of bid and proposal management best practices.This certification is of personal value to you and to your organization, as you develop and demonstrate your competency in proposal development.

Cost:$345 for coaching session; $400 for APMP Foundation exam

Shipley Associates, an APMP Approved Training Organization (ATO), will facilitate the 4-hour Foundation coaching session, followed by lunch and the Foundation Level Certification exam.

To prepare for the session, we encourage you to review the APMP Proposal Guide: the Foundation Accreditation Study Guideand Glossary of Terms. During the session, you will receive expert coaching, have a chance to ask questions, and receive the APMP Foundation guidebook for ongoing reference.

Practitioner Quick Start Workshop

This APMP Certification opportunity is an option in the online conference registration process, coming soon!

This workshop is designed for APMP members registered to attend Bid & Proposal Con 2015, who would like to understand how to complete the Proposal Practitioner Assessment Questionnaire (PPAQ). The workshop will include:

  • Introduction to the PPAQ requirements
  • Discussion on how to use the PPAQ Standards and Guidelines to build your competency self-assessments
  • Individual coaching to develop compliant competency based evidence responses
  • Understanding of how to handle the more challenging competency areas
  • On-going support to complete your PPAQ
At the completion of this workshop, members will have completed up to 8 of their evidence responses and have a clear understanding of how to complete the remainder of their PPAQ within the next 4 to 6 weeks.

The registration fee does not include the cost of the Practitioner Assessment, paid when you complete your PPAQ. Registration fills quickly. Register soon to avoid placement on the wait list.

Practitioner Completion Workshop

$129 + a one-time Practitioner Assessment Fee of $650, paid separately through the APM Group
The deadline to register for the APMP Practitioner Completion Workshop and Practitioner Assessment with APM Group is April 24, 2015.

You must be an APMP member to participate.

This APMP Certification opportunity is an option in the online conference registration process, coming soon!

This is an intense full-day workshop for APMP members registered to attend Bid & Proposal Con 2015, who would like to complete the Proposal Practitioner Assessment Questionnaire (PPAQ) and achieve Practitioner Certification status. Participation in this workshop will require:

  • Foundation level Certification
  • Pre-registration for the Practitioner Assessment
  • Advance preparation of at least 12 competency responses
  • A full day dedicated to completing the remainder of your 35 competency evidence responses, with support from the APMP Director of Certification and mentors
  • Follow-up work during conference to resolve remaining questions as necessary

At the completion of this workshop members will have completed their Practitioner Certification and be ready to submit for assessment.

Reminder: To participate in the Practitioner Completion Workshop you must register for this workshop, then register and pay your fees for the Practitioner Assessment.

Professional Impact Presentations and Interviews

Registration:
By Appointment Only, upon meeting specific criteria

A limited number of interview slots will be available for individuals to complete their Proposal Profession Impact Paper (PPIP) and competency-based interview.

Prior to the conference, candidates must

  • be an APMP member
  • have registered for the Professional Practitioner Level assessment
  • have their PPIP assessed by the Chief Examiner
  • Nominate a reference for the behavioral competency assessment.
  • complete their PPIP and submit for assessment by April 17, 2015.
