For those of you not familiar with the term BRAC, let me explain. This is a process which the Department of Defense uses to reorganize its base structure or military towns so that they can more effectively support our forces. Fort Meade is the recipient of several new resident agencies including: Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Defense Media and Publications Activity, Defense Security Clearance Activity, and CyberCommand. Come to this exciting program to learn more about what is the current status of BRAC and what we can look forward to from a business perspective.
Because this program is on Fort Meade property, please provide us your last name, first name, middle initial and contact phone number in an email to Edna Cummings (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Jessica Morgenstern (email@example.com) no later than 19 June 2011. You will need to show identification at the Fort Meade Visitor’s gate to gain entrance to the base. Registration in advance is required. No walk-ins will be allowed. Please leave some extra time to check in and proceed to the Officer’s Club. The visitor’s office will provide you with directions once on Fort Meade proper.

From Washington, DC:
Go to MD-295 N towards BALTIMORE to US 175 EAST. Follow 175 EAST until you come to the Reece Road intersection (there is a traffic light). Turn right at the traffic light onto Reece road, and proceed to the Main Gate.
From Baltimore, MD:
Go to MD-295 S towards WASHINGTON to US 175 EAST. Follow 175 EAST until you come to the Reece Road intersection (there is a traffic light). Turn right at the traffic light onto Reece road, and proceed to the Main Gate.
From 95 N:
95 N to Baltimore to 175 E to Jessup, follow directions above.
At this meeting, you’ll have an opportunity to meet and formally elect our Board of Directors and hear about future programs we have in store for you. Please plan to join us.
We will have information coming out shortly about how to register for this event. Be sure to invite your friends and co-workers to participate. You’ll have to register no later than June 19th to make sure that we can include your names in our message to Fort Meade.
