Understand the Four Principles of Proposal Design... and give your reviewers the smoothest of reads

‘Proposals are not graded on readability. But a proposal which is more readable will always be looked upon more favourably.'

This presentation will explore how good design can help your documents be perceived in a more positive way by the reviewer – giving you the edge!

This session will provide examples of good and bad design and offer tips on how to present information clearly to help with comprehension and information retention. There will also be a run-through of the Four Principles of Proposal Design.

About your presenters

Tim Barber (from marketing and design agency PCD) and Jane Matthews (Aviva Life's Head of Bids and Tenders) will run this insightful and interactive session.

Tim has over 25 years marketing experience, having worked on Bids & Tenders design with brands such as Aviva, TD Waterhouse, Siemens, Engage Mutual and Tata. He believes that good design can help bring proposals to life and help with the influencing of a reader's understanding of the information they hold.

Jane is a founder member of the Aviva Life Bids and Tenders team and is in her 25th year with the company. She has a long history of successful bidding and has gained her APMP Professional status. She has a wealth of experience using good design to produce professional covers, templates, presentations and graphics and believes passionately in the benefits.
