"Im sorry my proposal is so long - I didn't have time to make it shorter?"
Everyone involved in bids knows the importance of being concise. It’s not just that long-winded prose is wearisome to read. To get the best possible score, bid writers need to get across as much content as they can within often stringent word counts. In spite of that, many proposal responses end up being overweight.
Leading bid writing trainer and consultant John de Forte analyses the reasons why we tend to say more than we need to, highlighting common examples and how to correct them.
Attenders will also gain some valuable practice in putting a quart into a pint pot.
Our presenter, John de Forte has helped a wide range of organisations and consortia to win flagship contracts in the public and private sector. This has included acting as editor in chief on major proposals involving multiple author teams in the UK and abroad. His training workshops provide bidders with frameworks to bolster persuasiveness and improve their writing skills.
