APMP Best Practice Techniques
20th October 2015 | Heathrow, London
Presented by Jon Williams CP APMP Fellow – Strategic Proposals
Opportunity to attend one or both Best Practice workshops detailed below
Executive Summaries | 9:30am - 12:30pm
A powerful Executive Summary is a key element of any good proposal. Using case study material, and drawing on research with buyers, we’ll explore what makes for an effective Executive Summary. We’ll look at its purpose and structure; how and when it should be developed and refined; roles and responsibilities.
As a result, you’ll be able to sharpen the content of future Executive Summaries, and make their development more efficient. Additionally, at the end of the workshop, we will look at the “Executive Summary Development” competency within APMP’s Practitioner certification, and will help those working on their PPAQ to complete the necessary paperwork.
Red Team Reviews | 2pm - 5pm
An effective final document review (or ‘red team’) will significantly sharpen your score in the customer’s evaluation. Yet, too often, the review process is overlooked, rushed, or causes last-minute chaos.
In this session, we’ll explore the benefits of an effective review process; we’ll look at who should be involved, and how to manage the review process effectively. We’ll talk about how to share feedback constructively – and we’ll practice reviewing content (as we go, reminding ourselves of some key principles of effective proposal writing).
Additionally, at the end of the workshop, we will look at the “Final Document Review” competency within APMP’s Practitioner certification, and will help those working on their PPAQ to complete the necessary paperwork.
Each session will provide you with competency training that has been specifically designed to meet the standards required by APMP for Practitioner Certification. In addition to the 10 CEU credits you will receive for attending the 2 remaining days of the conference Each of these training modules will earn you 3 CEU credits.
