"Narrowing the gap between the bid environment and procurement"

After seven years as a successful Proposal Writer, Bid Manager and certified APMP Practitioner, your presenter, Nigel Wright sought a new challenge and ventured beyond the familiarity of Bid Management into the world of Procurement. Having seen an increasing number of clients use Procurement Managers in the buying process, he wanted to find out  "What challenges are common to both professions? What value do Procurement add? How can a Procurement relationship benefit me?” Now a Senior Category Manager buying specialist consultancy for Aviva, Nigel will run a presentation that will be of interest to anyone who responds to procurement led RFPs or who may occasionally wonder what life is like on the other side ...

Nigel WrightNigel will initially share an honest personal experience of how it felt moving from a Bid to a Procurement environment, followed by inviting your questions, supported by a panel of private sector Procurement experts from the wider Aviva Procurement Community. No questions are ‘off limits’ and either you can ask your question on the night, or email beforehand to nigel.wright@aviva.com

Nigel is currently a Senior Procurement Category Manager at Aviva. His role involves buying specialist consultancy resource and building relationships with key consultancy suppliers.  During his 25 year career in Financial Services, he worked in Aviva’s Bids and Tenders team helping stakeholders to secure distribution deals across a range of markets. Whilst working as a Bid Manager, Nigel attained his APMP Practitioner certification.
