We don't have a lot of spare space at my office, and I am inundated with paper. I am looking for opinions on what you typically save from your proposal planning binders, if anything. How long do you keep your binders around? I've not thrown anything out for 2 years. Thanks!

I've actually been trying to go more electronic now. I keep everything on my network until it is awarded, then filed it off on CD or DVD, using the Read-Write kind, so that I can have multiple proposals on one. It actually works very well to do this and allows me to travel with just one CD/DVD rather than lots of paper.

Thanks. I think I am going to scan the handwritten notes I might be able to reuse, then per your suggestion, move everything else to a CD. It's just hard for me to throw out what took a lot of effort to create and maintain. But then again, I don't want to become the next subject on Hoarders. ;-)

We keep everything on the network until award, we then archive off to a CD/DVD and if its a very well done proposal, we place it in the reuse library for other teams to use as an example.
