Our next general membership meeting will be a virtual meeting held in December. Monitor our chapter's web site (www.apmpflorida.org) for meeting schedule and program details. By the way, the presentation used by Ed Alexander for our September meeting is posted on our chapter web site. In advance of the December meeting, I encourage FL APMP Chapter members to attend the 12th Annual Southern Proposal Accents Conference (SPAC) scheduled for November 7, 2008, in Atlanta. SPAC is being sponsored by the Georgia, Carolina, and Florida APMP Chapters. For details about SPAC, see http://www.apmp-spac.com/index.htm. In conjunction with SPAC, a training and exam session for APMP Foundation Level Accreditation is scheduled for November 6, the day before SPAC. Take advantage of this opportunity and become an accredited proposal professional! For session details, see http://strategicproposals3.dmdgo.com/. For details about the APMP Accreditation Program, see http://www.apmp.org/ca-16.aspx. Support the FL APMP chapter in some way: o Be as a SPAC volunteer. (Contact Terry Clayton, tclayton@wsihq.com, to volunteer.) o Give a meeting presentation. (Contact Amy Stourac, Programs Chair, amy.stourac@gd-ots.com, to propose a presentation.) o Encourage a colleague to attend one of our meetings and to join the APMP (and our chapter). o Pass to us the names and contact info of potential APMP members. (Send to Chuck Keller, Chapter Chair, kellerpdt@aol.com.) o Serve as a chapter officer. (We'll be electing new officers soon, so if you'd like to be nominated for a position, contact Jack Hales, Chapter Co-chair, jack.hales@halesassociates.com).
