Growth and Renewal:  How to Remain Relevant as a Proposal Professional

Elizabeth Blakney, CPP APMP Fellow
Director of Proposal ASG, BSS, and FCS Proposal Group,  CACI Inc., Federal

Even in the most challenging market, there is opportunity.  If you find yourself disillusioned with furloughs and cuts and are at the crossroads of a potential career shift, your journey begins here.  We’ll look at traits of successful innovators and compare those characteristics to what it takes to remain relevant as a proposal professional.  We’ll examine ways to reinvigorate your career, probe using burnout as a means for personal growth, decide if/when to make a career transition, and how to develop an executive presence.  Attendees will participate in a series of self-assessment exercises, such as conducting a SWOT analysis of their own careers or business.  You’ll learn how to create an individual development plan as part of your stay strategy and/or a succession plan as part of your exit strategy. Recognize when it is time to go, leave with a positive attitude, and build a different road map to fulfillment!
