Creating Proposals With Both Sides of Your Brain: Bridging the Brain Gap for More Creative and Innovative Proposal Team Results

Heather Routh, CF APMP
Senior Associate, Strategic Proposals

Proposals invite us into an automatic left-brain mode of verbal, linear and rational thinking. We need that mode to write the words, organize a project, proof for errors and meet the deadlines. But what about when you need to solve a complex problem? Or think about the big picture? And connect ideas? Or think strategically? That’s when we need to tap into the right brain’s creative power.

Think you aren’t creative? Think again, we all have untapped creative possibilities in our brain. In this session, through individual and group exercises, participants will discover their right and left brain thinking patterns and get tips to stimulate their thinking and boost creativity. Participants will leave with skills to effectively unite both hemispheres of their brain to improve retention of information, clarify complex systems of thought, and make new connections to solutions.
