members is an incredible milestone, and we thank APMP’s Board of Directors and
past Board members who contributed to this growth,” said Rick Harris, AMP’s
Executive Director. "APMP’s new member outreach,
marketing and overall awareness has increased significantly, and we are
starting to see higher membership growth as a result.”
APMP is a community of proposal professionals who participate in all aspects of
the proposal development lifecycle. Since its inception in 1989, APMP has
offered professional development opportunities and educational sessions through
its more than 25 global chapter events, online webinars and the annual
conference, APMP’s Bid &
Proposal Con, to be held May 28 – 31, 2013 in Atlanta, GA, USA.
Since June 2012 APMP
membership has grown by 14 percent.
Since January 2011 it has grown by 53 percent, making this one of the
most sustained periods of growth in the association’s history. The sharp
increase in APMP membership is directly attributed to:
- The rise of APMP’s
Accreditation program, becoming the number one APMP membership driver.
- Instituting a tactical and
concentrated membership recruitment and retention plan which includes
recruitment through new lists and personal telephone calls to expiring members.
- APMP European chapters’ focus
on selling more APMP Corporate memberships than ever before.
