APMP Procurement Improvement Committee Gaining Press Attention

(Washington, DC -- January 8, 2014) Government CIO Magazine has taken notice of APMP’s Procurement Improvement Committee (PIC) by devoting space in its magazine to the association’s newly launched initiative.

Co-authored by PIC members Eric Gregory and Robert Lohfeld (Chair), the article perfectly outlines the APMP’s PIC thoughts on procurement improvement and how we as an industry need to reach across the aisle to our procurement counterparts in government to improve, rather than reform.

All APMP members are encouraged to read the article at http://www.governmentciomagazine.com/2014/01/can-we-really-improve-information-technology-procurement-absolutely and forward to colleagues.

APMP’s PIC will meet for the first time in January 2014 and begin scheduling meetings throughout the year to start the improvement dialogue with government agency staff on ways to improve procurement practices
