May 19, 2014, Washington, DC – The APMP Journal can now be called an-award-winning-publication, after being recognized tonight for Best Redesign of an Association Journal from the Association of Media and Publishing (AMP).
Rick Harris, APMP’s Executive Director and Jennifer Soucy, the Creative Director for YGS, APMP’s publishing partner, received the Best Journal Redesign award at the 34th Annual EXCEL Awards in Tyson’s Corner, VA. This year more than 345 associations submitted 959 entries in AMP’s EXCEL Awards. They were judged by more than 100 association and marketing professionals.
The APMP Journal won the best Redesign category with the judges citing a "a radical and forward thinking re-design that incorporated and created inviting images.”
APMP’s Board approved the redesign of its flagship publication, the APMP Journal, in 2012 and both 2013 issues were judged.
"We celebrate this award with all APMP members, the volunteer Journal writers and those who have been a part of every single issue from its start nearly 25 years ago,” said Mr. Harris.
