APMP Procurement Improvement Committee (PIC) Releases Analysis of Government Competitive Procurement Processes
Recommendations Outlined in a Step-by-step Overview

Washington, D.C., June 10, 2015APMP® has released a new, in-depth analysis of recommendations to Industry and Government for achiev­ing better competitive procurements, called the Roadmap to Better Government Competitive Procurement. The roadmap was produced by APMP’s Procurement Improvement Committee (PIC). The APMP PIC represents the association’s more than 6,200 members, particularly those with an interest in U.S. federal procurement. The goal of the roadmap is to create a meaningful dialogue and advocate for positive improvement to the federal procurement process between Industry and Government.

"This analysis is a comprehensive overview of steps to take to build trust and collaboration between Industry and Government. This APMP Roadmap is an outstanding report that effectively provides recommendations from the association that has the most insight on procurement,” said Rick Harris, Executive Director, APMP. 

The 15 page report is intended to share common sense ideas and recommendations with Industry and Government procurement professionals. APMP recommendations include how Industry and Government can conduct themselves through the early stages of an RFP, the most effective evaluation methods, why debriefs are important, how to conduct them and many more.

The APMP Roadmap to Better Government Competitive Procurement is packed with recommendations, graphs and details that procurement professionals will want to keep on their desk.

APMP’s PIC members released the document at APMP’s Bid & Proposal Con 2015 in Seattle, WA last month and are now making it available to all APMP members now. APMP members, especially those with an interest in U.S. Government procurement, can access the roadmap via www.apmp.org at no additional cost, as a benefit of APMP membership.
