Charlie Divine, PPF.APMP, has been named our APMP's new Accreditation Program Director effective immediately. Divine has been closely associated with our accreditation program for over 15 years and is considered a global expert on proposal management and business development competencies. He will be responsible for managing the APMP accreditation program and marketing it to our members worldwide.
Charlie replaces Chuck Keller, who recently stepped down after handling the duties since 2008.
"Charlie’s innovative marketing strategies, incredibly rich accreditation experience, customer service skills and his passion to grow APMP accreditation at all levels is a perfect fit for where we want to go,” said Rick Harris, APMP Executive Director. "We want to help and encourage our members to pursue all levels of APMP accreditation. We want employers to know when they hire an APMP accredited staff person, they are getting the very best.”
APMP’s three levels of accreditation are Foundation, Practitioner and Professional. Almost one-half of APMP’s membership is Foundation level accredited. The immediate goal of the association is to help those who have completed the Foundation level to pursue the Practitioner level.
Prior to joining APMP, Charlie was Director of Knowledge Management for the Business Development Institute International, and General Manager for SBC Communication, Inc. (now AT&T). He has spent more than 25 years marketing products and services for bottom line results and has been active in APMP as a volunteer for more than 10 years.
"An APMP Fellow, Charlie is someone who leads by example,” said Betsy Blakney, APMP CEO and Senior Proposal Development Manager for CACI, Inc. - Federal. "He was one of the first APMP members to achieve all three levels of accreditation, and he has been an industry advocate for the value of accreditation for more than a decade. Accreditation is at the heart of APMP’s membership services and Charlie clearly understands that.”
One of Charlie’s duties as the new Accreditation Program Director will be to answer member questions on all aspects of APMP accreditation. If members need advice on anything having to do with APMP accreditation they can reach him at Accreditationdirector@apmp.org.
