Mike Parkinson Awarded APMP Insight Award

(Washington, DC) — June 10, 2011 — Mike Parkinson, AF.APMP, a Principal with the 24 Hour Company in Falls
Church, VA, was honored as the 2011 recipient of the Insight Award presented by the Association of Proposal
Management Professionals (APMP®) for best article published in a 2010 issue of
the Journal of the Association of
Proposal Management Professionals (APMP
The award was presented to Parkinson
at the 22nd Annual APMP® International Conference & Exhibits at the
Sheraton Downtown, Denver, Colorado on June 2, 2011. His winning article, titled "The Science of
Proposal Graphics,” appeared in the Fall/Winter 2010 issue of the APMP Journal. It reported the result of research sponsored by
a grant from the APMP National Capital Area (NCA) chapter to study the efficacy
of a proposal graphics process Parkinson developed. Members can access the winning article in the APMP Journal archives online.

The Insight Award is presented annually at the APMP
Conference to the author of the best article published in the APMP Journal the previous year. It is selected by the Journal staff, announced by the Managing Editor and is based on usefulness, reader
feedback, and the ability of the author to clearly communicate and pass on to
the reader knowledge that elevates the proposal industry.
