Jim Hiles of MorganFranklin Named 2012 Conference Co-Chair

(Washington, DC) — June 20, 2011 — Jim
Hiles, the Managing Director of Public Service Business Development for
MorganFranklin, has been named the Conference Co-Chair for the Association of
Proposal Management Professionals (APMP®) 23nd Annual APMP® International
Conference & Exhibits at The Sheraton
Dallas Hotel, Dallas, TX, May 22-25, 2012.
Hiles will join Rick
Harris, APMP’s Executive Director, as Conference Co-Chair and will be
responsible for helping to develop the conference’s content, including
recruiting keynote speakers, educational session speakers and coordinating
meeting logistics with the APMP staff.
This year Hiles and
Harris will also put together a conference committee that includes 15-20
professionals from industry who want to volunteer their time to planning and
promoting APMP’s Dallas Conference. For
example, the chairs from all three APMP Texas chapters will be invited to join
the committee along with other APMP members throughout the world.
Hiles is no stranger to
APMP’s Conference having managed the APMP Bookstore this year. He has also been active with area
associations having served on
the board of the Charles County (MD) Technology Council (CCTC), a presenter at
APMP’s National Capitol Area’s Mid-Atlantic Conference,
and as an Editor of and Contributor for APMP’s Journal.
Hiles holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in business from The New School and a Master of Science in acquisition
and finance from the Naval
He is a certified Acquisition Professional, possesses DAWIA Level III Contracting
certification, and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the George Washington
University in the
Executive Leadership Program.
