valuable proposal professional. However, like a bartender, proposal
professionals often get stuck as listeners rather than as strategists. In this presentation, attendees will
identify a "proposal bar" crowd and build social intelligence to
move from behind the counter. Presenters will discuss the acts of listening
to others' woes and dealing with difficult personalities to orchestrating the
crowd and developing a signature "drink" – a unique proposal voice.
The presentation focuses on working with a diverse proposal crowd, getting
heard, and helping them see beyond their "beer goggles."
Dr. Stephen Galati
, CP APMP, leads the Strategic Proposals
for TRC Companies. He has more than 20
years of proposal management, technical and grant writing, marketing
communications, training, and electrical engineering experience. He is the author of Geographic Information Systems Demystified, and has numerous
publications to his credit concerning environmental consulting, proposal
writing, grant management, leadership, and public/private funding.
, CF APMP, is a senior proposal professional with over 15 years of experience in
the A/E/C industry. Anne is a Senior Proposal Manager at TRC Companies, a national engineering, consulting and construction
management firm providing integrated services to the energy, environmental and
infrastructure markets. She is a member of TRC’s Strategic
Proposal Group providing strategic proposal management and support to help
deliver high quality, strategically competitive proposals.
