Charlie Devine APMP Scholarship Announced

APMP is accepting applications for the Charlie Divine Certification Scholarship starting today!

 

All Chesapeake Chapter members are eligible to apply for the scholarship, and scholarships are available for all three levels of APMP certification - Foundation, Practitioner, and Professional.

 

Here is a link to review the scholarship form.

  • The deadline to receive applications is October 19, 2018
  • Recipients will be named by March 7, 2019

One scholarship will be awarded to one APMP member in good standing in every chapter, so if you're interested in obtaining your certification, apply today!

Welcome Kristi Gross, Chapter Secretary

Welcome Kristi!

Please welcome Kristi Gross CF APMP, as our new Chapter Secretary! She joined the Chapter Board of Directors last month and will serve through the end of this year, when we hold Board elections.

Kristi has more than 25 years of experience in proposal management, proposal writing, capture, marketing, and communications. She has managed proposal departments for more than 15 years for companies including Powertek, Technatomy, DMI, Paradigm Solutions, AMDEX and URS Corporation. Managed day-to-day activities of proposal personnel including proposal managers, proposal writers, marketing specialists, graphics artists, production personnel and many proposal consultants. Trained, coached, and mentored staff in capture processes, proposal management, proposal writing, and marketing writing.


About the Chesapeake Chapter Board

Board positions are nominated (including self-nomination) and voted on each year in December, to serve a full calendar year. All positions are voluntary, and if there is only one nominee for a position, a member vote is not required to fill the position.

We are always looking for interested members to serve on the Board and volunteers to support Board activity! Board positions are: Chair, Secretary, Membership Director, Programs Director, Marketing & Communications Director, and Webmaster. Service on the Board confers 15 CEUs per year to maintain your certification!

This presentation discusses various metrics that can be implemented and analyzed for any proposal organization to track performance, identify and address areas for process improvement, report meaningful data, and set performance goals for employees. Presenters Ali Paskun (CF APMP Fellow, small business consultant and advisor, trainer, writer and founder of  ABIL Solutions, LLC) and  Kristin Baron Dufrene (CPP APMP Fellow and Vice President, Proposal Development for Vencore, Inc.) have extensive experience in measuring performance against desired outcomes.

This event was held on May 9, 2018, at Leidos, Inc. A copy of the presentation is attached.

Didn’t have a chance to attend APMP International’s Bid & Proposal Conference in May 2018?
