Known as the Bid Studio, they are now a 22 person-strong team covering the West Midlands, Southern England and Northern Ireland. They manage and add value to some of the firm’s highest-value pursuits. James and Phoebe will describe how they successfully recruited people with a range of skills and how they are promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning that is also benefiting the wider business.
James Cadman, Head of Bid Knowledge, Systems and Training, AECOM
For the last 12 years, James has worked across multiple sectors, developing industry-leading skills in bidding. In his role at AECOM managing knowledge and process improvement, James works closely with internal clients to devise and deliver in-house training programmes and develop successful bid teams. He strives to promote a culture of continuous improvement, championing best practice and collaborative working.
Phoebe Chapman, Head of Bid Management, AECOM
Phoebe’s expertise in multi-disciplinary bid management and team leadership was developed through a decade in professional services, including eight years in the Middle East. As leader of the Bid Studio’s bid management and writing team, she applies her experience in creative and strategic input, editing, reviewing and proposal management to successfully deliver major bids across AECOM’s UK & Ireland end markets.
