Topic: "Who's role is it? What skill set is needed?"

In moving into a new market, penetrating an existing market or moving an opportunity down the pipeline, the roles of your team members must change, whether you are working with consultants or internal resources. A new skill set may be required as well. The discussion will focus on the roles, responsibilities, and skill sets required for each task of the business development lifecycle, explore the overlap, and discuss some of the trade-offs between using consultants and using internal resources.

Speaker: Tim Budzik is a seasoned executive with more 25 years of experience in business development, market capture, proposal development, and program management. He is currently the Director of Business Development at EADS North America Defense Security, where he is responsible for all BD activities from pre- to post-sales activities, including marketing and communications. Previous roles have included Sr. Business Development Manager at United Space Alliance and Director of Capture and Proposal Consulting at Shipley Associates. Tim is certified as an APMP-Professional™.
