Becoming Your Own Best Orienteer: Charting Your Personal Development Path

Saturday, May 28, 2016 | 10:50 AM - 11:50 AM | Fairfax AB

Melanie White
There’s a vast array of training and professional development opportunities available.  Unfortunately, time is short, training budgets are limited, and life gets in the way. It’s essential to select courses that provide the most "bang for the buck."  The key is knowing where you’re going professionally and knowing the resources to get you there.  Training plans have been developed for companies, employees, and customers. But how many of us have a personal training plan?  This session includes a basic framework for developing a personal development plan as well as guides the attendees to prioritize goals each step of the way.

Melanie White, CF APMP, is a capture and proposal expert for Trident Proposal Management in San Diego, CA. Ms. White has more than 15 years' federal proposal management experience primarily in the small business arena. As a consultant to one of the top 10 IT contractors, she has participated in more than 25 proposals, valued at over $5.2B. Pair that with four active sons, and it is clear she understands the demands of the proposal life and the stress that comes with it.
