APMP NorCal and SoCal Chapters Announce Merger
APMP Chapters Combine to Form a Single, Stronger Regional Group

Washington, DC, November 27, 2012 – The Association of Proposal Management Professionals® (APMP®) Northern California (NorCal) and Southern California (SoCal) chapters have announced a merger and will become the "APMP California Chapter,” for proposal, bid, capture and business development professionals in that state.

In response to national APMP chapter growth,
NorCal Chapter Chair Cynthia Mastro and SoCal Chapter Chair Steve Koger opted to merge and incorporate as the APMP California Chapter.

With both groups in agreement, Koger will move forward as APMP California Chapter Chair and Mastro will serve as Vice Chair, until Board elections are held in the first quarter of 2013. The standard candidate nomination, vetting and election process will be used to elect the new APMP California Chapter leadership. A single version of the chapter bylaws will reflect the new chapter name, updates to chapter Board titles/positions, and updates to the operating rules and procedures for the new chapter.

"This merger will enable members from each chapter to leverage additional resources and opportunities and realize greater member benefits,” said Mastro.

"We will continue to offer a high quality suite of benefits to the combined membership, including in-person and virtual bi-monthly meetings, regional educational and networking events, combined chapter finances, and a stronger combined Board that pulls the best talent from the entire state,” said Koger.

"Combining two healthy chapters is important because it creates a super chapter,” said Rick Harris, Executive Director, APMP. "Ms. Mastro and Mr. Koger expertly communicated the changes to the affected members and are working together to develop a better APMP membership experience for our California members.”
