APMP Journal Wins a Second Consecutive AM&P Excel Award
Proposal Industry Publication Recognized for Excellence in Cover Design

Washington, D.C., June 17, 2015 – Earlier this week APMP’s® flagship membership publication, the APMP Journal, was honored with an Association of Media & Publishing (AM&P) 2015 EXCEL Award. It is the largest and most prestigious awards program to recognize excellence and leadership in nonprofit association media, publishing, marketing, and communications. APMP won a Silver Award in the Journals, Cover Design category, for the APMP Journal, Volume II, Number I, 2014, featuring the "Left Brain, Right Brain” article. Last year, the APMP Journal won a Silver AM&P 2014 EXCEL Award for Best Redesign of an Association Journal.

"APMP’s Journal won again, despite being outspent and out-resourced by other major association publications,” said Rick Harris, Executive Director, APMP. "These awards demonstrate the professional quality of the APMP Journal, which matches the professional content provided by writers from our own industry.”

This year marked the
35th Annual EXCEL Awards celebration, honoring examples of association media and publishing that strive for creativity and clarity. John T. Adams III, Executive Director, AM&P, began the awards program by explaining that AM&P received more than 800 awards entries. In order to select the most qualified nominations, the judging panel used a more detailed numerical judging system, refining the scores each nomination received. "If you receive an award tonight,” he said, "you’re among the top 25 percent of a competitive group.”

APMP recognizes the APMP membership, who contribute meaningful content, and our editorial partners at The YGS Group, who work to co-produce the APMP Journal with APMP’s Editor in Chief, Patrice Scheyer.
