Washington, D.C., June 27, 2016 – Participation in APMP’s Certification Day reached an all-time high in 2016 at APMP’s Bid & Proposal Con in Boston, MA USA.  Exactly 148 participants stepped forward on APMP’s Certification day to pursue their next level of APMP certification.

The participation totals were 79 attendees tested for APMP Foundation Certification, 46 between two Practitioner workshops and 23 participants in the Professional Primer Workshop. Thirty percent of all attendees participated in APMP’s Certification Day which established a new record for certification involvement.

Since 2011, APMP’s certification program has seen a dramatic upswing in APMP member participation.  Over the last five years’ APMP certification has increased by 26 percent.

"A significant reason for the growth on Certification Day is that people were excited to take APMP’s newly updated Foundation Certification program, which is the baseline to further Practitioner and Professional Level Certification,” said Charlie Divine, APMP’s Director of Certification. "The new terminology, the balance of B2B (commercial) and government language, the new APMP Glossary and Foundation Level Study Guide were all significant contributors to the increased participation.”

APMP’s complete, three tiered certification program is important because it sets standards for the industry and the professionals in it and establishes a framework of best practice for the growing bids and proposal industry.
