APMP Hires New Staff Member
Association Responds to Steady Membership Growth

Washington, DC, January 12, 2015 – The Association of Proposal Management Professionals(R) (APMP(R)) has hired Ian Brooks, Membership and Marketing Coordinator, to join the staff, in response to steady membership growth of 21 percent since January 2013. The APMP membership spans more than 5,800 members in 26 chapters around the world.

"With the expansion of APMP membership, the APMP Board of Directors supported adding a staff position to help APMP respond quickly to members’ needs and the development of member benefits,” said Rick Harris, Executive Director, APMP. "Ian’s experience has already proven that he will be instrumental in adding to the APMP infrastructure and delving deeper into APMP’s strategic goals.”

Mr. Brooks will act as a primary point of contact for the APMP membership, assisting members with username and password inquiries, as well as conference registration questions. He will aid chapter leaders and provide GotoWebinar support for the APMP member webinar series, which will be offered at no cost to APMP members in 2015. Mr. Brooks will also work on social media efforts and interface with APMP Bid & Proposal Con presenters.

Mr. Brooks most recently served in the Finance Department of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., one of the largest and most diversified television broadcasting companies in the country, present in 79 markets and reaching approximately 37.5 percent of US television households.

Mr. Brooks is a graduate of Towson University, with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. He is proficient in German and has lived in Germany and Russia. He can be reached at
