APMP, the world’s leading association for proposal, business development and capture management professionals, announced today that it has reached a milestone by eclipsing 4,000 members.

Through our world-class Accreditation program, our annual conference and dozens of events produced by more than 20 chapters globally, we have seen our membership rise steadily over the past five years. Membership grew 51 percent in that time, up from 1,976 to its current level of 4,150.

"This tremendous growth is because APMP has truly created a home for all those who care about proposal, business development and capture management,” said Rick Harris, APMP Executive Director. "We’re providing the best education, networking, and accreditation tools that help our members win new work. The bottom line is that our members get tremendous value, branding and professional recognition for their $125 membership dues.”

We have 23 chapters worldwide with several located in proposal and business development hotbeds like Washington, DC; Seattle, WA; Atlanta, GA; the United Kingdom, Germany, metro New York and Florida. The association is also seeing impressive growth and interest in areas rich in commercial enterprise in addition to government markets and in countries outside the US such as Australia, Canada, South Africa and India.

A large part of the growth is fueled by rising memberships in APMP’s National Capital Area (Washington, DC) and United Kingdom chapters that have over 1,000 and 600 members, respectively.

"Reaching four-thousand members is a huge accomplishment for APMP,” said Betsy Blakney, APMPs CEO and Senior Proposal Development Manager for CACI, Inc. - Federal. "Our Board is delighted with our continued growth and with the wealth of opportunity for professionals in the field of business acquisition moving forward."
