In many companies, proposal departments are often looked upon as reactive and administrative, not strategic in business development such as sales or marketing. And while the value that teams provide in business development is recognized, what is needed is a way to overcome these perceptions, address internal detractors, and drive business development activities and proposal execution.  This presentation highlights how to accomplish this, gives examples on how to approach the topic, and shows what has been proven successful. These proven methods used in bid engagements changed the approach and resulted in an internal, customer-focused approach.

Felix Becker, CF APMP, based in Sydney, manages a team of bid managers in Australia and New Zealand. He advanced the rollout of bid and proposal management across different countries in Asia and implemented a harmonized bid methodology. He drove the bid management change process as an integral team to the business.
